Overview
Pride of Kashmir has traded in Kashmiri shawls, pherans and handicrafts for decades, buying directly from weavers so customers get authentic pieces at fair prices. I built their online store on WordPress and WooCommerce to take that weaver-to-customer model online.

The challenge
Handmade textiles are hard to sell online. Every piece varies, buyers worry about fakes, and a catalogue of shawls, pherans and kurtas in many colours and embroidery styles quickly gets unmanageable. The store needed to show each piece properly, let shoppers filter a large range, and let a small team run sales and seasonal offers without a developer.
The solution
I set up WooCommerce on PHP 7 and MySQL with a product structure built around categories and variations (size, colour, fabric), so one design can carry several options without duplicate listings. The storefront has an AJAX product search with a category filter, wishlist, account area, mini-cart and a full checkout. Homepage campaign banners and collection blocks are managed from the dashboard, so the team can launch a Winter Sale or a new shawl collection themselves. jQuery handles the sliders and quick-view interactions, and image sizes are tuned so heavy textile photography still loads quickly on mobile.
