BHSS Tral
A website worthy of a school that opened in 1903.
Overview
Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Tral, opened in 1903 as a primary school with 78 students. It became a high school in 1944, the only one in what was then Anantnag district, sent its first batch to sit the matriculation exam under Lahore University in 1945, and became a full higher secondary school in 1975. I built its official website as the Laravel developer on the project, and it was launched at an official inauguration in February 2019.

The challenge
A school with more than a century of history had no official home online. Admission notices, circulars and results reached students by word of mouth and the notice board, and the school's story, its alumni and the long line of headmasters and principals who shaped it weren't recorded anywhere a family could find them.
The solution
A dynamic, database-driven site on Laravel 5.7 and MySQL, with an admin panel the school staff use to publish content themselves. The homepage carries a notification ticker for admissions and circulars and a slider for school events, beside sections on the school's history and its vision and mission. Campus and department pages, a gallery, downloads, an admissions section and a student corner round it out, and AJAX keeps notifications and listings updating without full page reloads.
