Overview
Bombay International Hotel sits in Raj Bagh, central Srinagar, a short drive from Dal Lake, Nishat and the 18-hole golf course. With 35 rooms and suites, a restaurant in a classic glass house, and over 20,000 sq ft of meeting and exhibition space alongside the Kashmir Exhibition & Tourism Centre, it's one of the city's larger integrated venues. I built its website on WordPress, PHP 7 and MySQL.

The challenge
The hotel sells several things at once: rooms to tourists, a restaurant to locals, and venue space to businesses and event organisers. The site had to make each of those easy to find, show the property honestly through photos, and turn visitors into direct booking enquiries instead of sending them to third-party booking sites.
The solution
I built the site around the guest journey: a hero slider, an about section with an embedded hotel video, then four room categories (Standard, Deluxe, Double Deluxe and Premium Deluxe), each with its own detail page. Amenities, a restaurant page and guest reviews follow. The gallery is filterable by lobby, rooms, washrooms and exterior, built with jQuery. A booking form and a Book Now button in the header capture enquiries directly, a nearby-attractions block lists distances to Dal Lake, Nishat, Shalimar and Hazratbal, and WhatsApp chat is one tap away on mobile.
