Overview
The Central Government Pensioners Welfare Association, Kashmir (CGPWA-K) protects the interests of central government pensioners and family pensioners in Kashmir and raises awareness of senior citizens' rights. I built its website and member portal on Laravel 8 and PHP 8, with Vue.js 3, Bootstrap 5 and MySQL.

The challenge
The association's members are senior citizens, many using a smartphone for official matters for the first time. They needed a site that was readable and easy to use, a way to register as members and raise complaints online, and an admin side that office-bearers with no technical background could run themselves.
The solution
I built a Laravel 8 application with a full CMS behind it. Office-bearers publish notifications, events, press releases and gallery albums, and manage pages such as aims and objectives, management, vision and mission. Members register and log in through a member portal, and the public site carries a registered members list, consultation and complaints forms, FAQs and feedback. Vue.js 3 powers the interactive parts of the admin and portal, while the public pages are server-rendered for speed. The interface uses large type, high contrast and simple navigation, and the site is cloud-hosted so it can grow with the membership.
