How to read Domain Rating

DR is a comparative, logarithmic measure of how many independent domains link to a site and how strong those linking domains are. It is not a Google metric and it does not directly cause rankings — but it is a good proxy for the authority gap between you and whoever is currently outranking you.

Range	Reads as	What it usually means
0–19	Low	New or rarely linked; start with long-tail terms.
20–39	Building	A real profile forming; mid-tail keywords winnable.
40–59	Solid	Established; most terms winnable with good content.
60–79	Strong	New pages rank quickly; competitive terms realistic.
80–100	Very high	Among the most-linked sites; relevance is the limit.

Chasing the number itself is a mistake. What matters is the gap to the sites ranking for your target keywords — the approach I set out in the 12-month SEO roadmap.
