How I Rank Kashmir Businesses on Google: My Local SEO Playbook

Owais NoorMar 30, 20261 min read

There's no magic to local rankings — just a process done consistently. This is the playbook I run, minus the guesswork. (No client names or numbers here — just the method.)

Step 1: Find the searches that matter

I start with the terms that signal intent — "[service] in [city]", "near me", and the questions buyers ask before they hire. Ranking for searches nobody makes is a vanity exercise.

Step 2: Fix the foundations

Before chasing rankings, the site has to deserve them:

  • Fast on mobile, clean structure, no technical errors.
  • Proper LocalBusiness structured data and consistent NAP.
  • A page per service, and clear, crawlable navigation.

Step 3: Own the map pack

The Google Business Profile does heavy lifting for local terms. Complete it fully, keep it accurate, add photos, and build a steady flow of genuine reviews with replies.

Step 4: Build pages that answer real questions

Each money page targets one clear intent, with content that actually helps — not keyword-stuffed filler. Supporting blog posts (like this one) catch top-of-funnel searches and link inward.

Step 5: Earn trust signals

Reviews, consistent citations across directories, and the occasional local mention tell Google you're a real, established business.

Step 6: Measure and iterate

I track rankings, traffic, and — most importantly — enquiries. Then I double down on what's working. SEO is compounding: small, steady gains that build.

The catch

It takes patience. Meaningful movement usually takes a few months, faster for low-competition local terms. Paid ads can bring traffic while SEO builds.
